64% of adults in England are  overweight or obese.

Britain has the biggest obesity problem in Western Europe with 28% of adults in England classed as obese and a further 36% as overweight.

Have You Heard The Stat?

Research from the British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) reveals that 43% of adults surveyed admit that they find it difficult to find reliable information on healthy diets. While we know we should make good dietary choices, it isn’t always easy.

Poor dietary choices can lead to a number of health problems, including heart disease, diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Obesity is also linked to mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.

The food we eat can have a big impact on our mood. For example, sugary and fatty foods can give us an initial “high”, but this is usually followed by a crash in energy levels and feelings of irritability. On the other hand, eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help to boost our mood and energy levels.

So, food and mood have a major impact on how we think and how well we perform in all our activities at work as well as at home.

Your diet is a bank account. Good food choices are good investments.
